I started facilitating healing for others in 2009, when I began to hold space as an intuitive counselor. In 2010, myself and a few other women in Orlando, Florida started a gorgeous Red Tent community together. For a period of time, that community was very rich and taught me a great deal about what kind of healing is possible when women gather together in circle to sing, heal, and hold space for ceremony and ritual.

For those of you who remember 2011, it was a time of great change.

In one fell swoop I completed a 4 year relationship, realized that pursuing acting as a professional career was not the right vibrational match for me, and began the journey to become a yoga instructor and ultimately, a spiritual teacher.

The transition was quite graceful since I had been immersed in the teachings of Ram Dass since high school (thanks ma!) and studying the esoteric my entire life. My parents are both spiritual hippie types who went in two very different directions after they had me.

I was raised in a world shaped by astrology, tarot, and the gorgeous mystical teachings of the 70’s by my glorious new age mother (who took me to reiki when I was 9! Thank you!) and adjacent to this was my early childhood upbringing at Hillel, the second largest Jewish private school in the US (thank you to my Armenian maternal grandmother who happened to convert?!) due to my father’s ancestral and spiritual lineage where I learned to speak and sing in Hebrew which is why I feel that Sanskrit and ancient prayer has been so richly woven into the tapestry of my life.

This is how I honor these ancient lineages. But I choose to leave all the modern day patriarchal conditioning out of it. This is a big part of my soul work on this earth. Weaving the gold from the ancient religious teachings and letting go of the power corruption placed upon by politics of church or man.

In 2011, I got my first teaching gig in a Baptiste Power Yoga studio with all the hustle about it. Because of how I held space, the owner asked me to become her first Yin Yoga and Meditation teacher.

I started to get a lot of positive feedback as I began to merge energy healing and mantra into my Yoga classes. Though I was working more intuitively and wasn’t entirely conscious of what I was doing yet, I started leading Yoga Rituals which were guided healing ceremonies aligned to astrological events or portals of the Wheel of the Year. 

2012 was an epic initiation for me.

Over the summer, I travelled to Maui alone (by the Grace of Shyamdas and Neem Karoli Baba) and met my long time teacher Ram Dass in person and sat with him for darshan, which was a very heart opening experience.

I also started chanting mantra with Krishna Das and sat in person multiple times with him and Nina Rao as they taught 3-day retreats.

The Fall Equinox of 2012 was my introduction to the plant medicine of Ayahuasca and shamanic singing. It changed my universe.

October 2012, was my first experience with true, intergalactic soul family. Heart and star tribe. My fellow rainbow warriors.

I drove my little Honda Fit up to Asheville, to attend my first transformational festival 3 Days of Light. It was quite the gathering of souls and I was graced to meet my dear brother Pheonyx, whose friendship and mentorship goes back with me over many lifetimes.

Pheonyx was one of the main facilitators and our kinship inspired me to start to lead, sing, heal, and teach workshops. His deep commitment to the path of embodying the role of ‘Teacher’ was incredibly moving and a big piece of our shared connection. He continues to be my guardian and guide to this day, though we are now connected through the astral, as he left his body one year later in 2013.

This was my Saturn Return.

That same year, at 29, I became a college professor at Full Sail University. I have an academic background in the Visual Arts and continue to mentor in UX + UI Design. This website could be viewed as an example of my work.

After Pheonyx left his body, my spiritual journey turned back in on itself and I started another rung of the spiral. I really started to connect more with my Guides and Angels through music and song which is what Pheo and I were thinking of co-creating in the first place. I started singing and weaving mantra into my offerings and creating videos on YouTube to teach their true meaning and share their philosophy.

It was 2015 when I was invited to a sound healing circle at a festival (that was honestly a bit haphazard) that I had a huge transmission of my ancient self. Imagine 60 people all laying on a blue tarp and 20 people as the sound healers going around and blessing everyone.

When one of the women placed a large 20-inch native drum in my hand, as soon as I started playing it, somethings cosmic shifted. The weight of it in my hands felt like an ancient memory and I immediately started softly drumming and singing into people’s chakras.

In that moment, I anchored more of my soul on the earth.

At the start of a new chapter in the waves of ascension, in 2016 I put everything in storage, gave my cat to my mother, and drove out of Florida seeking a multidimensional, heart centered community to be of service to. I ended up at Burning Man through the guise of leading a Kirtan camp that never happened, followed synchronicity until I ended up living in Boulder, Colorado in the mountains.

What an initiation that was.

I now lovingly refer to this chapter of my life as my dark night of the soul. I learned a lot through contrast. It was a very Saturnian (karmic) graduation where I lost everything that I thought I was building up to.

The transformation process of death and rebirth is familiar to my Scorpio energy and also is the initiation of the Phoenix. Where the soul creates trials so they can actually hone their craft with a richer attunement.

Whether this was planned, pre-ordained by cosmic initiation, or had been created by my choices, my prayers of finding true soul family to pray and hold ceremony space with dissolved, crumbled, and then slowly reshaped themselves as my power and spiritual authority came back to me (and still continues to do so) piece by piece.
